In 1993 one of the designs made by PROJEMAR, the 33600 DWT RO-RO/LO-LO Ship BETELGEUSE”, built for Transroll by EMAQ Shipyard, was selected by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects” (U.K.), as one of the SIGNIFICANT SHIPS of 1992”. In 1995, another design made by PROJEMAR, the 10900 DWT Multipurpose Ship FROTABELEM”, built for Frota Amazônica by EMAQ Shipyard, was selected, by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects” (U.K.), as one of the SIGNIFICANT SHIPS of 1994”.
In 1997, another design made by PROJEMAR, the 1250 TEU Container Ship FROTASANTOS”, built for Frota Amazônica by VEROLME Shipyard, was selected by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects” (U.K.), as one of the SIGNIFICANT SHIPS of 1996” and by the Maritime Reporter and Engineering News” (U.S.A.) as one of the GREAT SHIPS of 1996”
RO-RO/LO-LO ShipIn 1999, another design made by PROJEMAR, the 69000 DWT Panamax Bulk Carrier EVER VICTORY”, built for MPC Capital/First Steamship by EISA Shipyard, was selected by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects” (U.K.), as one of the SIGNIFICANT SHIPS of 1998” and by the Maritime Reporter and Engineering News” (U.S.A.) as one of the GREAT SHIPS of 1998”. In July 1995, to improve its efficiency and operation, PROJEMAR became a totally independent company. At that time PROJEMAR increased its offshore activities with the conversion of the F.P.S.O. PETROBRAS XXXIV and the conversion of the semi-submersible production platform PETROBRAS XIX.
